Investigation of Machine Guarding Design
Plaintiff was injured when he removed the guard from a wire stripping machine, positioned it to defeat the interlocked switch, and went to clean the machine, while it was on.
His hand slipped and became caught in the machine and he was injured.
Our expert provided a substantiated opinion that the design of the interlock switch was inadequate, and a cause of the incident.
